Well, Richard & Jeremy at Fergolicious BBQ are actually both teachers, so if you’re looking for instructors who love to teach and have a well-documented track record for sharing the art & science of barbecue that’s backed by award- winning BBQ on the KCBS competition circuit as well as viewed by the nation on Destination America’s hit TV show BBQ Pitmasters, you don’t need to look any further.  In addition to cooking award winning Q, they are also both KCBS Certified BBQ Judges with Richard a Master Judge.

This class will take place at Galaxy Outdoors in Las Vegas, NV.  Think you’re a pretty good grill master but want to step your game up and become the king of the cul–de-sac? Then this is the class for you! Chicken wings, pork spare ribs, pork loin, and beef brisket will be covered in this class from a backyard Pitmaster’s perspective. As an added bonus we will include Steak cooking techniques that will help you place perfection on the plate every time. As well as a BBQ Bloody Mary recipe that will get the party started or keep the party going. Students will get to eat samples of all meats. There are also gift bags for each student and drawings for big prizes.

Galaxy’s Fall Cooking Class

Executive Chef Sandra Mallut Bio

Chef Sandra Mallut grew up in the San Fernando Valley with no thoughts of being a chef or baking anything well other than eating. There was a fork in the road for Chef Sandra and a choice was made to change careers into the culinary and baking industry. Chef Sandra’s career started after graduating from the California School of Culinary Arts in 2005 a Le Cordon Bleu program. Chef Sandra started out working at a local bakery during school as a cake decorator and was promoted to assistant bakery manager. During this time after completing culinary school Chef Sandra started to get involved with volunteering at food events, competitions and catering events.

Chef Sandra went on create a Craft Service business for the film and TV industry with clients from Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Private Practice, Weeds and many more. Then a big change happened Chef Sandra got into an auto accident that had the Craft Service business close down and her not walking for about a year and a half.
Out of that accident came the business The Culinary Butler which was a culinary consulting business that offered Chef Sandra the ability to branch out into new directions in the industry. The Culinary Butler offered social media/networking assistance, event planning, menu updating and reconstruction, live demonstrations and business launching. Chef Sandra has been able to be involved with many exciting events such as the Disney Food & Wine Festival, World Pastry Championships, IBIE Trade Show & Live Demonstrations, Chocolate Festivals, Las Vegas Wine & Food Festival and many more.

Chef Sandra had the opportunity to take a position in Las Vegas working with the school district at one of the new magnet schools with a Culinary Program. Chef Sandra took the position as the Culinary Director and worked with the junior and senior classes. At the school Chef Sandra was able to make changes in the program for the students to put on many events, create new products, simulate a restaurant experience, and involve the community for the students and so much more. Chef Sandra continues to recruit the CCSD students to work and volunteer at events with her and continues to support them in their quest to become chefs.

Chef Sandra again made a career path adjustment and started to focus on food festivals and events with local event companies and worked as the Culinary Director. Chef Sandra has now focused her career path on working as the Culinary Director for food festivals and creation of new events and projects. Some events Chef Sandra has been involved with IBIE Live Demonstrations, Indulge Chocolate Festival, Great American Foodie Fest to name a few. Chef Sandra currently has many new projects in the works and continues to enjoy working with culinary students and expanding and supporting new chefs in the industry. Chef Sandra also continues to and reconstruction, live demonstrations and business launching.
